If c6h5 is an electron withdrawing group then why is (c6h5)3c+ more stable than (c6h5)2ch+ ? (The compounds are given in the image attached)

Dear student 
For stability the important factor is resonance and then Hyperconjugation and inductive effect . 
In first compound the positive charge can participate in resonance with three benzene rings while in second only in two benzene rings.
So, first compound has more stability than second.
