ionisation energy is the minimum eneregy required to remove the loosely bonded electron from its outermost shell.It is given by
we have energy of electron in mth shell=-13.6*Z^2/n^2
here Z=3
ionisation energy for Li+2 is the energy required to remove the the electron from 1st shell to infinity,
IE=Einfinity-E0=13.6*9 eV
=12.24 eV
