Natural leather which is made up of skin insulate very well because it is poor conductor of heat. The thermal conductivity of dry leather is .14W/mK. and that of natural skin is .29W/mK.This is due to tanning process. Moreover coparing with many other material we will find that it has a low thermal conductivity which makes it a good insulating agent
