In the electrolysis of aqueous NaCl solution ,how many litres of Cl2 will be released by a current of 7.5A for a period of 100 min?

Reaction at anode is2Cl- --> Cl2 + 2e-i.e. 1 mole of Cl2 requires 2F of electricity i.e 71g requires 2*96500 FTherefore when electricity of 7.5 A for 100 mins will deposit , 7.5*100*60*71/2*96500 = 16.55g16.55g will occupy (16.5/71)*22.4 L of volume at STP. i.e. 5.22L will be liberated at STP
