conjugate base: substance formed when an acid loses a hydrogen ion.
The conjugate base of any comppound is the compound formed after the removal of H+ from them respectively.
HCO3- -------CO3^2- + H+
H20 -----H+ +OH-
Thus the conjugate base of acid HCO3- and H2O are CO3^2- and OH-..
