Placements : The overall placement scenario in IIEST Shibpur is improving day by day. The rich alumni base of IIEST (formerly BESU) and its hardworking placement cell are the major factors for this. The placement scenario is at its best for the IT department, and more than 80% of students get placed. Mass recruiters like Wipro, TCS, Cognizant and major IT companies like Microsoft, Adobe, etc., visit our campus for recruitment.

Infrastructure : Infrastructure wise, the college is average. However, it is improving day by day. The hostels are average when compared to the ones which have been built recently as they are really good. Wi-Fi connection is good in hostels. Labs are modern and well-equipped. The library is well organised. There's a hospital on our campus which is available 24x7. I would rate the infrastructure 3.5 out of 5.

Faculty : You'd find one of the best faculty members of India in IIEST Shibpur. They are highly qualified and extremely knowledgeable about their field. They are very helpful, friendly and hardworking. They will clear all your doubts at their best. Coming to the fact of the student to faculty ratio, though the statistics are not known, it is more than sufficient.

Other : The campus is lush green. It is largely stretched and has various water bodies. There are various buildings. There is a boxing ring, basketball court, gymnasium, two large grounds, students' amenities centre, halls and swimming pool. The connectivity of the college to Kolkata and Sector V is very good. Extracurricular activities are highly promoted in our college.
