Dear Student,
As sun is more far from the earth,
Then we take u = infinite
Focal length = 18/2 cm = 9 cm
From the mirror formula
1/v+1/u = 1/f
1/v +1/∞ = 1/9
1/v = 1/9
v = 9 cm
And we also know that
Angle = 1o = π/180
Ѳ = d/f
d = Ѳf
d = π/180 * 9
d = π/20 cm
