The JEE or Joint Entrance Examination is conducted every year to enable students to get admission into IITs, IIITs, NITs, and GFTIs. It comprises two papers - Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B.Tech.) at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), and Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments. JEE (Main) is also an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to IITs. Paper 2 is conducted for admission to B. Arch and B. Planning courses in the country.

May 18, 2025: JEE Main 2025 Session 2 application correction window has been opened by NTA. Candidates can make corrections in their application form until May 20, 2025.

 

May 12, 2025: JEE Main 2025 Session 1 results have been declared. Candidates can download their scorecards from the official NTA JEE website.

 

May 5, 2025: The provisional answer key for JEE Main 2025 Session 1 has been released. Candidates can challenge the answer key until May 7, 2025.

 

July 1, 2022: JEE Main 2022 form correction facility started for session 2 application forms. Any candidate who wants to get their particulars corrected can apply for the same. 

 

April 25, 2025: The JEE Main 2025 Session 2 application form window is now open. The last date to apply is April 30, 2025.

 

April 10, 2025: NTA has announced that the JEE Main 2025 Toppers List for Session 1 will be released shortly after the results.

 

May 18, 2025: NTA is expected to release the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 admit card soon. Keep checking the official website jeemain.nta.ac.in.


May 10, 2025: JEE Main 2025 Session 2 exam city allotment slip released by NTA.

 

April 6, 2025: JEE Main 2025 Session 2 application correction window is now open. Candidates can edit their details until April 10.

 

April 1, 2025: Last date to apply for JEE Main 2025 Session 2 extended till April 5.

 

March 20, 2025: NTA released the exam day guidelines and COVID protocols (if any) for Session 1 of JEE Main 2025.


March 18, 2025: NTA declared the results for JEE Main 2025 Session 1. Scorecards available at jeemain.nta.ac.in.

 

February 20, 2025:JEE Main 2025 Session 1 concluded successfully; answer key released by NTA.

 

February 15, 2025: JEE Main 2025 Session 1 Admit Card released.

 

January 31, 2025: Application window for JEE Main 2025 Session 1 closed.

 

January 15, 2025: NTA reopens the registration window for JEE Main 2025 Session 1 until January 20.


 

January 5, 2025: NTA announced the JEE Main 2025 exam schedule. Session 1 to be held in February, Session 2 in April.

  • When will JEE Main be held in 2025? 

JEE Main 2025 will be conducted in two sessions. The first session is expected to be held in January, and the second session in April, as per the usual schedule followed by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Exact dates will be announced on the official website — jeemain.nta.nic.in — once released.

 

  • Will there be 4 JEE Mains in 2025? 

No, NTA decided to conduct JEE Main twice in both 2025 and 2026. So, there were only two sessions of JEE Main in each of those years.
