A few points to note about the NEET 2022 counselling process: 

 

  • Candidates of NEET 2022 must note that the state counselling authorities will create their own merit list. The candidates must specify their category during the state counselling process. NTA would not interfere in the state counselling merit list preparation. 
  • The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) prepares the 15% All India Quota seats counselling for admissions in Central Universities, Deemed Universities, AFMC, AMU, & BHU and seats of ESIC.
  • Candidates for NEET 2022 have to submit their applications to their respective states. Yes, their all India ranks will also matter.

NEET Cutoff 

 

There are two types of NEET cutoffs. The first is the qualifying cutoff as given above. This cutoff is prepared by NTA and tells whether the candidate has passed the NEET exam or not.

 

The second cutoff is the admission cutoff that is prepared by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and State conducting authorities. This cutoff is used in getting admission into various medical courses in India.
