The centers for CMC Vellore Medical Exam 2015 are:
India: Bengaluru, Bhubneshwar, Calicut, Chennai, Delhi, Ernakulam, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kottayam, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Puducherry, Salem, Thiruvanthapuram, Vellore, Vijayawada.
Malaysia: Penang
The University tries to allot the centre as per the order of preference clicked by the applicant during online application. However, the final decision of allotment lies with the University.
City and address for the center of examination will be given on the Hall Ticket.
No request for change of center will be considered under any circumstances.
Candidates must bear all costs such as transportation, etc., to appear for the examination.
Timings of the exam are mentioned on the Hall Ticket and it is the responsibility of the candidate to reach the center on allotted date and time.

For MBBS
Candidates need to appear for the CMC Medical Entrance Exam 2015 to qualify.
Domicile and Age Eligibility
Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
Candidates should be of 17 years of age or attain this age as on 31st December 2015.
There is no NRI quota in the college. All admissions are only on the basis of merit, taken overall, in an entrance examination, other tests and interviews.
All candidates from India or abroad with qualifications other than the 'Plus Two Examination of Higher Secondary Board' of Tamil Nadu State should obtain an Eligibility Certificate from the TN Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai 600 032, Tamil Nadu, in order to be eligible for admission.
For students who have studies abroad, the equivalency of qualification is determined by the Association of Indian Universities guidelines.
Non-Indian nationals will have to obtain a 'No Objection Certificate' from the Government of India by applying through the Principal /Dean of the College to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, Nirman Bhavan, New Delhi - 110 001.
The applicants should have passed the qualifying examinations in the manner mentioned below
All candidates should have passed in all subjects of the qualifying examination of the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (Academic) conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Board or any other equivalent examination in one and the same attempt in the subjects that is 12 years of study with the last two years comprising of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
Candidates belonging to the general category must have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or Botany and Zoology) and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Botany and Zoology) taken together H.Sc. and have an aggregate 140/200 both at qualifying and competitive examinations.
Candidates belonging other category must have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or Botany and Zoology) and English individually. 60% in each and 130/200 aggregate for BC, 55% in each and 120/200 aggregate for MBC, and 40% in each and 80/200 aggregate for SC/ST candidates. BC, MBC, SC/ST as defined by the TN Government; all rules subject to change as per State & University guidelines
Candidates who will appear or have appeared in the qualifying examination in March / April 2015 and whose results have not yet been declared can also apply for admission, if other eligibility criteria are satisfied.
Once registered, candidates will have to appear for a competitive exam comprising of a preliminary Computer Based Entrance Test (Step-1).
Shortlisted candidates from Test 1 will be invited for Step-2 which consists of special tests and interviews to assess character and aptitude.
All admissions are based on Inter Se Merit i.e. CMC Vellore Medical Entrance Test 2015.

Hall Tickets for the Entrance Examination will be made available on CMC Vellore website 15 days before the examination.
The hall ticket will contain name and date of birth as typed by the candidate in the application, photo and signature image as uploaded by the candidate;
Examination City allotted and roll number will also be given.
If a candidate is unable to download their hall ticket they should notify the registrar immediately.
No candidate will be allowed to appear for the Entrance Examination unless he/she holds the Hall Ticket from the website of CMC.
Syllabus
The syllabus for the common entrance tests (unless otherwise specified) will be a mixture of „plus two? level boards recognized by the TN Dr MGR Medical University. Papers will be in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Ability including Speed and Accuracy and a few questions on current topical interest.

Exam Pattern
The CMC MBBS Entrance Exam 2015 will be a computer based entrance test.
The exam is conducted in English
It shall carry multiple choice questions with five options from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Ability.

STEP-1 Computer Based Test
The test is for three hours and 10 minutes i.e. 200 minutes.
Read each question carefully before choosing the correct answer.
Leave answer blank if not sure or choose an option if running out of time.
Carry extra pencils and sharpeners. Remember scratching or tick marking will result in no marks.
If you do want to erase an answer remember on his/her answer sheet, he/she must erase completely the existing pencil mark and then darken the appropriate circle with HB pencil. Remember not to leave any mark on the answer sheet or to cause a tear.

You will get only 200 minutes to solve a total of 200 questions out of which 60 have to be attempted in 20 minutes. So, it is imperative that you practice all of them repeatedly to build up both speed and precision. Attempt all previous year papers in allotted time. Solving papers will build up speed and accuracy.

SPECIAL TESTS & INTERVIEWS
Special tests and Interviews for selection to the various courses will be held at Vellore according to the schedule on page 3. Candidates who write the All India Entrance Test in May and are short listed for Step-2 will be intimated by letter sent by email/Speed Post around the first week of June. Hall ticket numbers of these candidates invited for Step-2 will also be posted on the college website around first week of June 2015.
At the time of the Step-2 for MBBS, Christian students who have applied under the sponsored category will be given a test on Bible Knowledge (50 multiple choice questions).
