Olympiad Exams - National and International

Have you ever participated in an olympiad? Olympiads are competitive tests conducted by various independent organisations in India and abroad. These tests are conducted for students of Class 1 to Class 12 at national and international levels. The registration for these olympiads is generally done separately through their website. However, some schools also provide registration facilities for these olympiads. This guide will give you complete information about different national and international olympiads in which you can participate.

Test your Basics with Olympiads

Olympiads are competitive tests conducted for school students. They are based on the school syllabus/curriculum. Olympiads are conducted with the aim to give exposure to the students in the competitive world. Students have to appear in a number of noteworthy examinations throughout their careers. They need to develop analytical and critical thinking skills right from the beginning so that they can do well in their academic careers. This does not mean that you have to appear in Olympiads from Class 1. You can start at any time and participate whenever you feel like it. Olympiads are generally conducted for subjects like:

  • Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology),
  • Mathematics,
  • Junior Science,
  • Astronomy,
  • Computer,
  • General Knowledge, and
  • Languages like English, etc.

Benefits of Olympiads exams

Olympiad exams help in enhancing various skills in students like:

  • Problem-solving skills,
  • Analytical thinking,
  • Confidence,
  • Critical thinking,
  • Reasoning abilities,
  • Logical thinking,
  • Aptitude, etc.

Olympiads bring the best out of every student. They motivate students to strive for excellence in every subject. Getting a rank in an Olympiad after competing with students all across India and even across the world is an achievement in itself and can motivate students to perform better.

Another benefit of the Olympiad is that it enables students to study beyond textbooks. They gain a better understanding of the subjects thereby enabling them to score better marks in school as well.

Students who are willing to prepare for JEE Main and Advanced or NEET-like examinations must appear in different olympiads to enhance their confidence for appearing in competitions.

Students get a great boost in their confidence levels when they participate in Olympiads and win different rewards, prizes, and even scholarships in some cases. Olympiads are a great medium to showcase your talent.
