About NCERT Class 8 Maths Chapter 4 Practical Geometry Ex 4.3

Before solving the NCERT questions of this exercise, you must understand how to construct a quadrilateral when the measurement of three angles and two adjacent sides are known.

Suppose you need to construct a quadrilateral ABCD in which the two adjacent sides are AB = 4.5 cm and BC = 7.5 cm. The given three angles are ∠A = 75ᵒ, ∠B = 105ᵒ and ∠C = 120ᵒ.

Step 1: Draw AB = 4.5 cm. Then measure ∠B = 105° using protractor and draw BC = 7.5 cm.

Step 2: Draw ∠C = 120°.

Step 3: Measure ∠A = 75° and make a line until it touches the line coming from point C.

ABCD is the required quadrilateral. If required, you can first draw a rough diagram to estimate how your final figure should look. This will ensure that you are going on the right track.

Types of questions included in NCERT Class 8 Maths Chapter 4 Practical Geometry Ex 4.3:

There is only one question in this exercise. It has four subparts. In the first part, you need to construct a quadrilateral MORE with MO = 6 cm, OR = 4.5 cm, ∠M = 60°, ∠O = 105°, and ∠R = 105°.

In the second part of the question, you have to construct a quadrilateral PLAN with PL = 4 cm, LA = 6.5 cm, ∠P = 90°, ∠A = 110°, and ∠N = 85°.

In the third part of the question, you have to construct a parallelogram HEAR with HE = 5 cm, EA = 6 cm, ∠R = 85°.

In the last part of the question, you have to construct a rectangle OKAY with OK = 7 cm and KA = 5 cm.
