Introduction to Manipur Council of Higher Secondary Education

Established in the year 1992 under the provisions of the Manipur Higher Secondary Act, 1992, the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur is renowned worldwide for excellent education and world-class amenities. Prior to the establishment of the Council, the +2 courses in the state were planned by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur as Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate course.
 

HSE Class 12 Important Dates

Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur will soon announce the HSE Exam Dates 2018 at the board’s official website. It is assumed that the Manipur HSE Time Table 2018 will be announced on December 2017 and the Manipur Class 11th and 12th examination will be held in the month of March, 2018.

HSE Class 12 Eligibility Criteria

Any Student from other boards willing to take admission to Class XI in any institution recognized under the Manipur Council needs to apply for the Eligibility Certificate from the Council. No admission would be valid without the Eligibility Certificate.
 

HSE Class 12 Grading System

The marks will be allocated on a 9 (nine)-point scale for both Class- XI and Higher Secondary Examinations of the Council. The distribution of the grading is given below:

In order to qualify the Class- XI and Higher Secondary Examinations, a student must get grade “D”  (minimum) in all the 5 subjects he/she appeared.
 

HSE Class 12 Scheme of Studies

All students studying under Manipur Council of Higher Secondary Education need to follow the below academic scheme. The subjects of study include:

  • English (Mandatory)

  • Any one of the Modern Indian Languages: Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Hmar, Kom, Manipuri, Mizo, Nepali, Paite, Tangkhul, ThadouKuki, Vaiphei, Zou or Alternative English

  • Three Elective subjects from any one of the following three Groups

Group –I (Arts)

Group-II (Science)

Group-III (Commerce)

Any one of the Elective Languages (Assamese, Bengali, English, Hindi, Manipuri, Sanskrit), Economics, Education, Fine Arts, Geography, History, Home Science, Manipuri Dance, Mathematics, Music, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Physical Health Education & Sports, Statistics, Sociology.

Students can also opt for an additional subject from this group as the fourth

Elective Subject.

Anthropology, Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering Drawing, Geology/ Geography, Home Science, Physics, Physical Health Education & Sports, Mathematics, Statistics. Students can also opt for an additional subject from this group as the fourth Elective Subject.
 

Accountancy, Business Studies, Computer Science/Economics/Mathematics. Students can also opt for an additional subject from this group as the fourth Elective Subject.

HSE Class 12 Result 2017

Physics Tips

  • Always understand the syllabus properly. You can only remember things which you have understood properly. Understand the applications of various concepts and if you face any problem, clear them with your teacher as soon as possible.

  • Practice numerical questions as much as you can in addition to theoretical one. Numerical questions can help you gain good marks in the examinations.

  • Practice writing questions point-wise to score more during your exam.
     

Mathematics Tips

  • Maths cannot be learned; rather it can only be practiced. Hence, write all the formulas (chapter wise) in a paper and memorize them thoroughly.

  • Attend regular classes and practice at-least one sum from each model. If you face any problem, ask your doubts and raise more questions.

  • Join different set of groups and try analyzing the problems.
     

Chemistry Tips

  • Write the periodic table in a paper and memorize them.

  • Prepare Notes. They help in memorizing the subjects in a systematic way.

  • Solve a lot of question papers and sample papers to keep yourself abreast of the question pattern.
     

General Tips

  • Avoid last minute mugging as it can be dangerous. It makes the brain stressed and leads to uncertainty and nervousness.

  • Try completing your syllabus well in advance so that you get enough time for revision

  • Avoid studying from various sources.
