Introduction to Manipur Board of Secondary Education
Manipur Board of Secondary education was incorporated in the year 1979 under the Act of Manipur Legislative Assembly. Besides the academic activities, the board is also entrusted in granting recognition to schools under Manipur Board.
Some of the important activities of Manipur Board of Secondary Education are:

At present, around 786 high and higher secondary schools (226 Government, 103 Government aided and 457 Private) are allied to the Board.

The Board conducts public examination at the end of class X for the courses studied in class X only.

Besides conducting examinations, the board also aims at the development of curriculum and syllabus, preparation, printing and distribution of text-books for class I to X.

The Board aims at maintaining consistency, quality and standard.
