In scattering experiment, find the distance of closest approach, if a 6 MeV alpha-particle is used 1) 3.2*10^-16 m2) 2*10^-14 m 3) 4.6*10^-15 m4) 3.2*10^-15 m I know the formula I am only confused about the value of Z to be substituted. please solve and explain properly !

Assume the nucleus to be the copper.
 
hence z = 29

Why to take copper only why not some other element?
Please if someone can explain this as to why take copper and if not copper which other element can we take
