Doppler Effect can be defined as the increase or decrease in the frequency of sound or light or any other waves as the source or observer moves towards ( away from ) each other. This effect makes a sudden change in pitch noticeable in a passing syren as well as by the Red shift seen by the astronomers .
Actually it was stated by Austrian Physicist Christia Doppler in 1842 in Prague,Capital of Czec Republic.
